Ingredients
For Kofta
- Paneer – 150 gm
- Boiled potatoes – 2 medium
- Cornflour – 2 tbsp
- Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
- Salt – To taste
- Oil – for frying
For Gravy
- Onion (chopped) – 2 medium
- Tomato puree – 1 cup
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Cashews – 10 to 12
- Butter – 2 tbsp
- Fresh cream – 3 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Water – as required
- Fresh coriander – for garnish
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Mash paneer and boiled potatoes in a bowl.
Step 2
Add cornflour, green chilli, and salt. Mix well and make small balls.
Step 3
Deep fry the koftas until golden brown and keep aside.
Step 4
Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions until soft.
Step 5
Add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree, and cashews. Cook well.
Step 6
Cool the mixture slightly and blend into a smooth gravy.
Step 7
Transfer gravy back to the pan and add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt.
Step 8
Cook until oil separates, then add fresh cream, garam masala, and kasuri methi.
Step 9
Add koftas just before serving and garnish with coriander. Serve hot with naan or rice.
